Minneapolis, August 1, 2007 - Dan Hanson joins RJF Agencies as Director of Management Liability
RJF Agencies recently hired Dan Hanson as its new director of management liability in its Management Liability Group division. His overriding focus will be to support Executive Vice President - Management Liability Group Bjorn Honda and build upon RJF's ability to help clients manage and reduce their executive risk exposures.
Drawing upon his expertise and experience with this highly technical, complex and evolving field of insurance, Hanson will help design and market management liability insurance programs that protect clients and their assets. These programs can include employment practices liability (EPL), fiduciary liability and directors and officer liability (D&O) insurance among others.
"Dan is a natural fit and logical next step for RJF's Management Liability Group as we maintain our position as a premier management liability firm," Honda said. "Demand for these coverage lines is increasing due to the accelerating litigiousness of the corporate environment. Even routine corporate interactions and activities today can expose individuals and businesses to costly lawsuits. While historically the realm of large public companies, these insurance lines are being purchased regularly now by private companies and nonprofit organizations of all sizes."
Hanson has over 13 years experience in executive risk processes and claims-handling among other insurance-related functions. Prior to joining RJF, he worked in various underwriting, management and technical positions with State Farm and Travelers. In addition to his managerial duties at Travelers, he taught errors and omissions workshops. He is the chapter president of the Minnesota Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters (CPCU) Society, a community of credentialed property and casualty insurance professionals who promote excellence through ethical behavior and continuing education.
